Abstract
The majority of this collection is correspondence regarding the study, publication rights, and preservation of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the funding of the Committee. The correspondence also documents the discovery and purchase of manuscripts by other organizations. A significant portion of the letters were written by, or contain information about Elizabeth Hay Bechtel and John Trever.
